Walmart.com’s sales soared during 2020’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday holiday.
Walmart.com’s sales soared during 2020’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday holiday. Black Friday reached $76 million, 100% more than 2019, with Cyber Monday reaching $69 million, 57% over 2019. “Cyber Weekend” totalled $264 million in ecommerce sales. Pattern’s brand partners have continued to grow their business on Walmart.com this year with a number of significant developments in 2020.
Total revenue from Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined grew 76% over 2019, with Black Friday itself growing 106% over 2019. Our brand partners that participated in the holiday shopping weekend last year experienced an average growth of 114% over 2019, with one vitamin and supplement brand having 232% growth year over year.
This comes as fourteen new brand partners expanded to sell on Walmart.com in 2020, and with a number of current brand partners expanding their catalogs on site. Additionally, our partner brands’ products are easily recognized on the marketplace, distinguished by two new badges in 2020: the new “Fulfilled by Walmart” badging for Walmart’s new WFS program as well as the new “Pro-Seller” badge that has helped instill consumer confidence.
Walmart’s new fulfillment program, WFS, launched earlier in 2020, and Pattern was chosen as a beta seller to help launch the program. Pattern brands saw an instant boost in sales, as the “Fulfilled by Walmart” badge helps increase site visibility and customer confidence in each brand. Pattern was one of the first sellers on Walmart.com to earn the new Pro-Seller badge, launched in October 2020, and given to top performing, reliable sellers on site. The Pro-Seller badge boosts exposure, increases conversion, and builds trust in your brand.
With the success of Black Friday and the holiday and our ever-expanding assortment on Walmart.com, we expect even more success stories in 2021. You can learn more about selling on Walmart.com with Pattern by requesting your personalized demo today.
