Pattern Company, Enlisted Design, Honored in Fast Company's 2022 Innovation by Design Awards
For the fourth year in a row, Fast Company has recognized the agency’s transformative design work with leading creators and world-class brands.
OAKLAND, Calif.—September 21, 2022—Enlisted Design, a Pattern company and the leading design agency for the creator economy, was named an honoree in Fast Company’s 2022 Innovation by Design Awards in the best design companies and best branding companies categories for its innovative work with MrBeast and Night Media.
With 104 million subscribers on YouTube, MrBeast (a.k.a. Jimmy Donaldson) is one of the most influential content creators in the world. Donaldson’s creative company, Night Media, continually leans on Enlisted Design to develop bespoke branding and packaging for the company’s portfolio of creators and brands, including Feastables and MrBeast Burger—brands that reinvent the snacking and dining experiences for the Gen-Z consumer.
“Jimmy shares our ethos for creating next-level experiences, and we’re thrilled that our shared passion was so apparent in the branding, packaging, and digital experience for MrBeast Burger and Feastables,” said Enlisted Design CEO and Pattern Chief Design Officer Beau Oyler. “Being recognized again by FastCo alongside so many amazing companies is a direct reflection of our fiercely talented Enlistees. Not only does our design work need to be next-level, it also has to accelerate business growth for brands and creators. As our design agency is powering the creator economy, we’re thrilled to leverage our passion and expertise to build some of the world’s most sought-after brands.”
The Enlisted Design team’s fresh branding and packaging created an unexpected food experience that let consumers “feast like a beast” while snatching up 1 million MrBeast Burgers and 4 million Feastables MrBeast Bars in the first 30 and 90 days, respectively. Enlisted Design was also tapped to create the branded graphics for the first physical location of MrBeast Burger—a dining experience that broke the Guinness World Record for most burgers sold in a day.
“These honors demonstrate Enlisted’s proven ability to exceed business objectives for our client partners across a variety of industries and mediums,” said Enlisted VP of Visual Design Miri Chan. “Design is incomplete without a measurable and discernible impact, and these projects with Night Media drove massive interest while minting a new cohort of loyal MrBeast fans.”
Other Night Media creators that depend on Enlisted Design for their ongoing branding and design needs include Aphmau, Karl, Lankybox, Preston, Unspeakable, and ZHC.
The Innovation by Design Awards, which can be found in the October 2022 issue of Fast Company, honor the designers and businesses solving the most crucial problems of today and anticipating the pressing issues of tomorrow. The competition, now in its 11th year, features a range of blue-chip companies, emerging startups, and hungry young talents. It is one of the most sought-after design awards in the industry.
“A common theme among this year’s Innovation by Design honorees, which range from healthcare interfaces to autonomous driving technology, is permanence,” said Brendan Vaughan, editor-in-chief of Fast Company. “The products that leaped out to our editors and judges went against our quick-fix consumer culture, while also manifesting a more inclusive vision of design.”
The judges for the Innovation by Design Awards included renowned designers from a variety of disciplines, business leaders from some of the most innovative companies in the world, and Fast Company’s own writers and editors. Honorees for the 2022 awards were selected across dozens of categories. Entries were judged on the key ingredients of innovation: functionality, originality, beauty, sustainability, user insight, cultural impact, and business impact.
Winners, finalists, and honorable mentions are featured online and in the October issue of Fast Company magazine, on newsstands September 27, 2022.To see the complete list, go to: https://www.fastcompany.com/innovation-by-design/list
