__Munich, April 26, 2021 __ - The ecommerce service provider Pattern is strengthening its commitment to the German market.

Pattern uses a specially developed technology platform to increase the global sales potential of brands via platform commerce and to market products as a sales partner on its own responsibility.

Torsten Schäfer, who joined the company from Amazon, has taken over the position of Country Manager Germany and is now heading the Munich office.

Pattern acts as a strategic partner for brand manufacturers in platform retail. The service company identifies sales opportunities for specific products, purchases and stores the corresponding inventory of the manufacturers, takes over the presentation, marketing and sales including customer service on platforms with marketplace offerings such as Amazon and also carries out all the necessary fulfillment services.

Brand manufacturers benefit from comprehensive analyses and personal support from Pattern's experts, enabling them to expand their sales to additional platforms and other regions without effort or risk.

In doing so, they always retain control over all aspects of their brand management in the collaboration. In parallel, Pattern offers ecommerce consulting services to brand owners to optimise their global omnichannel strategy.

Support for German brand manufacturers

Pattern underlines the expansion of its presence in the German market with the appointment of Torsten Schäfer as Country Manager for Germany.

His tasks include supporting brand manufacturers from Germany and the surrounding area in both German-speaking and international platform trading, advising existing partners on entering the German market, increasing their sales and continuously expanding the Pattern team.

Torsten Schäfer started his career at Accenture, where he worked as a consultant for over four years and developed his skills in data analysis and customer consulting.

He then spent almost ten years in vendor management at Amazon, where he developed the personal care and baby business units and managed the DIY and garden businesses.

Most recently, he was Principal Program Manager there, responsible for After Market Services and Reverse Logistics in Europe.

His day-to-day responsibilities included strategic contract negotiations, analysis of profitability, sales and operational metrics, as well as recruiting, launching and positioning brands on the Amazon platform.

He sees the task of building a strategic partnership with brand manufacturers, providing long-term added value as an essential part of his role at Pattern.

"Exploiting global sales potential"

"Brand manufacturers struggle to find the right e-commerce approach. At Pattern, we solve their problem in terms of competencies and resources with our team of experts," explains Torsten Schäfer.

"We see ourselves as a business partner that supports its customers with strategy expertise and operational excellence. Together, we want to support brand manufacturers in cultivating and developing the value of their brand. Our technology enables us to help them reliably reach their customers in different regions and maximize the global sales potential of their products."
